We will be speaking with community members and/or representatives from First Nations directly impacted from Hurricane Katrina in the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama areas. These communities are in dire need of assistance. We will also be joined by a representative from the National Congress of American Indians (http://www.ncai.org) who is coordinating in conjunction with the National Indian Gaming Association a relief fund for all indigenous Nations impacted by hurricane Katrina.

Joe Kennedy (Tibisha Shoshone) and Julie Fishel, Attorney for the Western Shoshone Defense Project (www.wsdp.org) on the recent visit to the United Nations whereby the United Nations Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) has issued a formal letter to the United States questioning its continuous treaty and human rights violations against the Western Shoshone Nations.
Kat High from the Friends of the Haramokngna American Indian Cultural Center provides listeners with an update on the recent developments, achievements, and expansion for Haramokngna; along with some highlights of some upcoming cultural events.
