June 5, 2009 - Dozens of recently fired employees of the largest food processing plant in Southern California held a protest in South Los Angeles this morning. They showed up at the Overhill Farms warehouse in the city of Vernon to ask for their jobs back.

But company officials say those terminated – mostly immigrant women with as many as 20 years seniority – failed to clear up social security number discrepancies.
