Our vote count for the KPFK Local Station Board began December 2 about Noon and continued until after 3 a.m., started again just after Noon on December 3, and was completed about 9 p.m.  Thanks to National Election Supervisor LES RADKE for the long hours he put in, and special thanks to volunteers MARY REICH, MAHLENE DOZARIO, TOM NOBLE, LYDIA BRAZON, MOE MANSOURI, FRED BLAIR, JON WENGER, MARLA BERNSTEIN and GRACE AARON.

Extra special thanks is due to my wife MARILYN PETERS without whose efforts
making 600 telephone calls to KPFK supporters in the past 2 weeks, and mailing 200 replacement ballots to those who requested them, we would never have attained the quorum necessary to certify this election.

Over $3300 was contributed by voters who support democratic governance of KPFK.

Those candidates who were not elected immediately are on stand-by to serve in case any of those just elected to the board need to vacate their seats in the next 3 years.  All alternates (and other KPFK supporters) are invited to serve on LSB committees.

For more information on how the Single Transferable Vote voting system works, please go to www.fairvote.org  (The Center for Voting and Democracy).

Thanks to all of you for your support for KPFK and the Pacifica Foundation.
