Pacifica 2012 Board Elections
The KPFK elections are over. A quorum was not reached in the listener Local Station Board Delegate election. This means the current board members continue to serve until the next election, or until they reach their six-year consecutive term limit. The KPFK staff election failed to reach quorum and the election has failed to elect any candidates to the LSB. Even with all possible close date extensions, and allowing "reasonable time" for staff to return ballots even after the four week extension of the close date to January 8, the total number of staff ballots received by ESC was 57. The minimum number of ballots required to reach quorum was 61.
The current staff delegates of the KPFK LSB continue to serve until the next election unless any of them would then exceed the six year term limit on continuous service.
