The KPFK Local Station Board is accepting applications for the volunteer position of Secretary for 2008.  Our Local Station Board [LSB] is the elected governance body of this Pacifica signal area and meets approximately once a month, perhaps alternating between weeknights and weekends.  Applicants do not have to be elected to the Board; any Listener-Sponsor can qualify to serve the station in this capacity.  

The responsibilities of the Secretary include [1] to record the decisions, votes and other actions taken by the Board at meetings, [2] prepare minutes of the meeting in a timely manner and deliver those minutes to the Chair and Board and [3] record the Board's work with accuracy and clarity. The office of Secretary is an unpaid, volunteer position.
