  Big Up to all of the comrades  this is Sista Zionne . Freedom Now’s agenda for this wintry Tues Dec. 16, 2008 is a 3 part program. As is our tradition we will have the African Drum Beat Historical calendar with Brotha Dedon.Following . Cynthia McKinney the formerly Green Party Presidential Candidate and US Congresswoman will report on the recent International Conference on the Network in Defense of Humanity in Havana Cuba. This conference assess the Human Rights records of the US & Cuba  as part of the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights.

    In Harlem last week there was a town hall meeting on Obama ? What impact will he have on Black People ? As part of our Obama Watch Program we will have  Dr.Donald Smith who has written on the Post Racial Philosophy of Obama regime and the cultural incompatibility of Obama campaign and the struggle of Africa people. This presentation which was presented in Harlem was part of the 8 member panelist evenly divided on the Pro and Con support of Obama regime. This presentation by Dr. Smith will prove to be quite controversial.

   We will end with our major them “West Coast Rap”  with Brotha  Alonzo Davis the unsung god father of West Coast rap who will layout the true story of Rap, Gangsta Rap and the evolution of the west coast music industry devoid of the Eurocentric paradigms that has characterized the slew of books and movies define the origin of West Coast rap music. This is critical given the impact of “Gangsta Rap” among youth globally.

   We will have a music mix including clips from former President Nixon, and  President Nelson Mandela  dub from Tommy Cook, Prince  Xaris and the sign of Cyclo, Easy E, Dead Prez clip and of course our theme song Zap Mama. So tell a friend, cozy up in front of the fireplace or oven stall warm this chilly night as we take a journey into the land of Freedom Now.
