alafia this is Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now’s agenda for this Tues January 12, 2010 will consist of 2 themes. A discussion with the attorney Adante Pointe who is representing the Oscar Grant murder trial. Oscar Grant an unarmed 22 year old Africa father was fatally shot in the back while faced down at the Bay Area Rapid Transit station in Oakland California. .This murder was capture on 2 cell phone cameras and one of the recordings can be reviewed by goggling Oscar Grant. Video. Over 5000000 people have viewed this video. Attorney Adante Pointe will be our guest to give us an update on the trial which has been relocated to downtown Los Angeles. Comrade Age who represents the Los Angeles Coalition for Justice for Oscar Grant comrade will give us an overview of the campaign to see that justice is done here in Los Angeles.
Our 2nd and primary theme is a critical look at the Hollywood Film industry with Attorney John Cones. Attorney is the author of “Hollywood Wars-How Insiders Gained and Maintain Illegimate Control Over The film Industry”. Attorney Cones argues that there is a conscious lack of diversity at the top of the Hollywood film chain. He will address 1. who has been excluded from power in Hollywood, 2? How after more than 100 years so called post integration, civil rights this continues, 3. Who is exactly at the top of this pyramid and 4) what results flow from this lack of diversity at top? Attorney Cones is an entertainment attorney and has l published author of over 6 books on this industry.
