                                              Agenda

Greetings this is your host Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now’s agenda for this June 18, 2011. I just return from LAX to pickup former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney who has completed a tour of the Middle East and Africa, with her last 3 weeks in Libya. She is presently live in the studio and will provide an update on the US and NATO’s illegal war in Libya. We will open the telephone at 818-985-5735 or 818-985-KPFK during the last 10minutes for to call in with questions that have not been address in her presentation. Most importantly how your tax dollars are being spent.

Of course we will have the African Drum Beat historical calendar and an interview with Brotha J of the Xlan crew which is one the most popular conscious rap groups in the history of hip hop. Last week program with John Potash on the FBI War on Topic Shakur and Black Leaders left some listeners with the notion that all conscious rappers are dead so we will combat that notion. Brotha Kwezi Osafo will give an overview of Dr.Charles Finch upcoming lecture here in LA. Our music mix will include: Illinois Jacquet, Scientist at the Dub, Brotha J., Bomba, Mutabruka, Sonny Okson and a clip from the Confederate States of America and State of Emergency album. So stay tune, tell a friend and remembers tonight’s program can be reheard for the next 90 days at KPFK.org, audio archives scroll to Freedom Now. And as always we stand Ready For The Revolution.
