Alafia ! We at Freedom Now would like to thanks all who made a contribution during the fund drive as well are back with us- during the pre-emptions of Freedom Now. Once again we thank you. Will commence with the African Drum beat historical calendar .In this segment the peoples historical struggle is presented to add momentum to our present struggle against the triple evils of National, class and gender oppression. Following will be the Raising the Bars political prisoner segment with sista Tandizwe lifting the bars to expose the conditions of our comrades .Our Ist guest Gerald Gaylnor Executive Director of the Black Alliance for Justice for Immigrants – BAJI . BAJI is thee foremost African organization fighting for the interest of African immigrants from Africa and the diaspora including ,Black immigrants from the Carribbean,Central and South America, Haiti and everywhere in the world where African people come from . All to often the issue of immigrant s& immigration has been painted as a brown or Mexican issue soley ,a racist imaging the sets in motion contradictions between Black & Brown communities in the US. Brotha Billion will provide our weekly give away of revolutionary DVD s- that is free ideological weapons of mind liberation with the Free your mind your butt will follow segment. We will close out with Maurice Carney, the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Friends of the Congo . Friends of the Congo is the vanguard organization in the US which seeks to join in the campaign to free the Congo from foreign economic and military. This domination has caused the deaths of over 10 million Congolese in the past 15 years. This atrocity has been covered up due to the Congos preeminence in critical natural resources which are the bases for the technological revolution of European Imperialism. His presentation will be part 1 of a three part series on the Congo with the objective of setting up a Friends of the Congo satellite committee here in Los Angeles for those in the listening audience.
