Greetings ! This is Sista Arrissa  with this weeks edition of Freedom Now - a Pan African and Internationalist  audio journal - dedicated to providing a revolutionary  perspective to the struggles of the oppress. We use a Nation , Class Gender paradigm-  in our choice of topics, - speakers -  music - clips and our review of history -  on behalf of what Frantz Fanon so brilliantly calls the  Wretched of the Earth. So stay tune for another journey into the land of Liberation Radio here at Freedom Now.

                                                            Agenda

Hotep ! This is your producer and host Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now’s agenda for this April 29, 2008. Tonight we  will have as our primary theme -  a discussion with Brotha  Atum Ra -  Kemetic educator, health scientist and activist  - on the present day rise in the Diaspora of the Kemetic or Ancient Egyptian school of philosophy and social programs. Students from the House of Amun Ra will also be in the studio  - providing  a young adult  insight on how this ancient African philosophy has transformation their lives. Kemetic or ancient Egyptian wisdom has been  growing in popularity for the past 40 years  - with  the rise of  study circles. We will look at one particular grouping  the Houses of Amun Ra . This  is a relatively new phenomenon that has impact all aspects of the Africa world. This is one of many  - intellectual and spiritual forms of the multi-facet cultural and political  resistance and renaissance of Africans in the Diaspora - to re-connect with their ancestral homeland and  become part of the political movement - in the building of a United States of Socialist Africa  -free from European capitalist economic and political domination.

Our second theme will be a presentation by Bob Singer on Ethanol. Bob  a dedicated researcher was a lonely voice years ago when he approach me about the impact of ethanol  as an alternative to oil. He correctly predicted the results of this  ethanol mania by the ruling class  as organic alternatives to oil based energy products as genocidal. He stated that it would wreak havoc on the 3rd world. Here today we find the results of the mass production of sugar cane and corn with the increase of famine and food rebellions all over the world.

We will continue  with  the African Drum beat historical calendar, our  Raising the Bars prison segment and our Pan African music mix including: Wes Montgomery, Junior Murvin, Jah Shaka, Sizzla, Gene Chandler, Savage Beast and a Samuel Jackson clip and our theme song Zap Mama’s  Afro Pea.

So we have a full program for you tonight so chill out and join us in this edutainment experience and – and always – we stand – ready – for the revolution.
