 Alafia this is Brotha Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now’s agenda for this Tues August 5, 2008. We are fortunate to have a very special guest . The former 12 term Congresswoman from Georgia and Green Party Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney in our studio who will present to you the listening audience her vision of a better  United States and because of the Imperialist Hegemony of the US, her vision of a progressive role  of the US in world affairs.

  We will have  our Raising the bars  prison segment with an interviews with Khalil Meek President  of  the Muslim Legal Fund of America which is a new organization developed to protect the civil rights of  Muslims of all nationalities in  the United States in response to the increase profiling, harassment and frame-up of US citizens due to their religious beliefs.

  Bill Wynn and Rashida will give us an overview of the up coming Los Angeles film festival.

The African Drum Beat Historical calendar with Dedon will raise our historical struggles to the forefront of today’s consciousness and   following we will have a interview with Troy Nkrumah who is a steering committee member of the National Hip Hop Political Convention which convened last week in Las Vega to unify the disparate elements of the Hip Hop sub-culture into a broad and united voice to address critical issues facing our youth.

 Zizzla the revolutionary Jamaican Dancehall artist will be discussing his upcoming concert in Long Beach and the philosophy of music and Pan Africanism.

 Our last 25 minutes will be devoted to our special guest Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney.
