I want to thank everyone at KPFK for giving me the opportunity to bring you “music from around the world and around the block” for the past five years.  Particular thanks to former Tuesday host, Simeon Pillich, and to all of the Global Villagers for their support and camaraderie.   

To you who listened through fearful displays of nervousness, occasional bouts of sleepiness, and frequent displays of absentmindedness because I was engrossed in the music and not the control board, my warmest thanks.  I look forward to joining you in the future as a guest host.      

Artists like today’s guest, the Lian Ensemble, are a potent reminder of music’s ability to touch hearts, minds, and souls.  Don’t miss their upcoming concerts at Mount St. Mary’s College, Chalon Campus.
