Bruce Molsky, fiddle/banjo & Ale Möller, mandola

You’ll be lifted out of your seat when “The Rembrandt of Appalachian Fiddle” and “the Quincy Jones of Swedish folk” blow open the barn doors with an afternoon of old-time music making. Swedish musician Ale Möller joins forces with American Appalachian musician Bruce Molsky to explore the dense web of musical connections, past and present, between Nordic and American traditions. The Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club has been a gathering place for the community for over 100 years and will provide a welcoming environment for the strongly communal nature of this music. This unique concert promises to be an explosion of collaborative energy from these two virtuosic musicians.
