The 6th Annual Santa Barbara Brazilian Carnival brings 3 days of the Art, Dance, Music and Gastronomy experience of the biggest country South of the border – Brazil, to the California Riviera and the Central Coast Community. The event in 2009 happens Friday Feb 20, Saturday Feb 21 and Sunday Feb 22 in different locations involve different clubs, restaurants, dance studios and organizations of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties to participate and support the annual event. Northeast Brazil! Forro (pronounced Fo-ho) is easier to dance than
  
samba and salsa, and as fun and sensual as both put together!
  
 The evening opens at 8pm with a short set of Brazilian Choro and
  
Jazz. We continue with a free Forro dance lesson with Professor Daniel
  
Chin, and move into dance music with some of the brightest Brazilian
  
talent in Southern California.  This is an event for all - come alone
  
or with a partner – no dance knowledge necessary!  Everyone of All
  
Ages is invited to this celebratory "Forro at Soho" party!!
