 St. Elmo Village is celebrating its 40th anniversary year with a “Drums, Blues and Jazz Festival” May 23 to 24, noon to 7 p.m., at 4830 St. Elmo Drive, near the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles. Admission for both days is free and a parking shuttle will be available at the Mid Town Shopping Center, 4275 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles. The village is poised to welcome and receive more than 5,000 guests, neighbors, community leaders, artists, tourists, students and service organizations. The village is one of the oldest free arts organizations in Los Angeles, serving the community as a free arts enrichment center, public garden, gallery space and public meeting place.
