On Saturday March 27, the Jazz Bakery at MI Presents the Antonio Sanchez Quartetin concert. The group, featuring Antonio Sanchez (Drums), Dave Binney (Sax), Donny McCaslin (Sax), and Scott Colley (Bass), will perform two shows at 8:00 and 9:30pm in MI’s Concert Hall. This show is open to the public; see below for ticketing information.
New York City-based Antonio Sanchez has become one of the most sought-after drummers on the international jazz scene. He has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in jazz including Pat Metheny (as a member of the Pat Metheny Group and the Pat Metheny Trio with Christian McBride), Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden, Gary Burton and Toots Thielmans.
Antonio is also a faculty member at prestigious New York University (NYU) and a highly-regarded clinician with endorsements from Yamaha Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Sticks (Antonio’s Signature model), Evans Drumheads and LP Percussion .
