Novalima play a free show at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park!
Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts MacArthur Park Los Angeles (LPMP) presents its 2011 summer series of 50 free music concerts, Thursday to Sunday every week, under the stars on the lawn at MacArthur Park. Located just west of the heart of downtown Los Angeles, MacArthur Park is one of the oldest and most significant parks in Los Angeles and boasts a rich and colorful history. Over 100,000 people have enjoyed the free summer concerts since the Levitt Pavilion opened in 2007. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinners, family, friends, and dogs on leashes. Do not bring booze.
The Mortimer Levitt Foundation (MLF), created in 1966 by New York philanthropists Mortimer and Mimi Levitt, donates funds to support performing arts venues that build communities, support diversity, and enhance access to the arts. Mortimer Levitt, who had a long love affair with outdoor music, grew up in an era when almost every community had a Sunday afternoon concert on the village green. On his 90th birthday, Mortimer sold the company he had owned for 60 years and decided to replace his 82 custom shirt shops with Levitt Pavilions around the country. SoCal has Levitt Pavilions in Pasadena and in LA's MacArthur Park. Visit the national Levitt Pavilions website to learn more about MLF's mission to provide free music across America.
