Some of Us Are Brave was restored to a full hour on Dec. 18 to participate in KPFK's Winter Fund Drive; thanks to all of the listener supporters who called in and pledged your support during our show that day!
You can hear the show at KPFK's Audio Archives for the next 80+ days or so. Jan Robinson Flint and I co-hosted and our guests were: Former Black Panther chairman and minister of information Elaine Brown who gave an update on the Georgia Prisoners' Strike; Bro Jesse Muhammad of the Final Call Newspaper and the lynching death of Frederick Jermaine Carter in Greenwood Mississippi, and former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney called in from Atlanta to talk about how rogue cops are being called to account for police brutality across the country, and the mass burials following Hurricane Katrina.
Again, thanks everyone for tuning in and supporting Some of Us Are Brave and KPFK to help keep the underrepresented voices of Black women on the air.
Peace, Sis Charlene (reach me at sischarlene.muhammad@gmail.com and us all at someofusarebrave@gmail.com)
