Yo! This is an online listener from Turkey, I am from the borderlands of California and Mexico and I just wanted to show some appreciation for your show! I listen often to kpfk in general and sometimes, due to the time difference (+9 hours) I cannot listen live to the programs I used to back home, but yours is right on point, I get to enjoy all that good music you play and the nice message you spread. I tuned in this morning and I appreciate your show. I teach in Redondo Beach (5th grade)....... For me, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Bill Withers are some of the most amazing priests ever to walk the Earth. Miles Davis and so many more gave us so much and all we can do is say thank-you for having the courage to express spirit through music.

We are even hollering at our folks at home to listen -whenever possible- cause you know we have been HUNGRY for some soul music...I am an OG Crip...so i used that influence to help my brothas get up on some things...and it worked.... I was driving to work on Monday morning, May 5th, and you played this beautiful instrumental that lasted from about 5am to about 5:27 am. I lost reception before I could hear the name. It's killing me!

Yo Man, Feeling you here in London. Can't get that live set you did on March 5th out of my mind. The Chilites turned it out! Is it difficult to find live stuff by these 70's acts (Delfonics, Blue Magic, Black Ivory etc...)
