SWANA CALENDAR:

The Art of Coexistence:
The Lemon Tree & The Olive Grove

Weds, 10/15 7pm  Beverly Hills Public Library Auditorium, 333 N. Rexford Dr

,
The American Friends Service Committee and the Levantine Cultural Center present Sandy Tolan and Deborah Rohan, two American authors with a profound interest in and connection to the Middle East. Their books The Lemon Tree and The Olive Grove are powerful testaments to the strength of the human spirit. Tolan and Rohan argue eloquently in their writing for a way to peace, showing the human face of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict and the genuine possibility of coexistence. In a world where this bitterly contested dispute often takes the form of an impossible conflict in the news headlines, the stories Tolan and Rohan tell go behind the scenes and provide all of us with the hope of peaceful resolution for both peoples.

Event is free. Free parking after 6 PM.

Please RSVP at (310) 657-5511.
