Asian Descent?


In advance of next week's election, Radio Intifada will explore the meaning/impact of the election for the Americans from the SWANA region, discussing immigration policies, the YALLA VOTE 08 initiative to register Muslims to vote, and how the various issues/candidates may impact Arab and Muslim communities.


GUESTS will include:
Representatives of the Arab American Institute and MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Committee) and
Hamid Khan, Executive Director of the Los Angeles-based South Asian Network and immigrant rights activist.

Wilkins (Lumbee Nation)and Rob Porter (Heron Clan of the Seneca Nation)  on the presidential elections & its ramifications, Indigenous sovereignty & its diminution, self-determination, treaties,and what this means for future Indigenous peoples and their respective First Nations.

FREE GAZA NEWS UPDATE -
LARNACA - The Free Gaza Movement is delighted to announce that their third boat, the SS Dignity carrying 27 crew and passengers arrived in Gaza at 8:10 Gaza time, in spite of Israeli threats to stop them. In the pouring rain, the boat pulled into port amid cheers from the people of Gaza and tears from the passengers.
