The Siege of GAZA,
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the
International Court of Justice
In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (12/10/48), Radio Intifada will focus on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exploring not only its impact on the local population, but how it violates both the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will also explore what, if anything, might be done by the International Court of Justice and discuss how the Free Gaza Movement is using nonviolent resistance to break the siege of Gaza.
Our special guests are:
Richard Falk, UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in OPT
Jess Ghannam, Psychiatrist and Chief of Medial Psychology, UCSF Medical School
and
Representatives of Free Gaza on the ground in Gaza and Cyprus
Hosted and Produced by Sherna Berger Gluck, SWANA (South and West Asia and North Africa) Collective of KPFK.
