HONORING INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

and in recognition of the 21st anniversary of the intifada

Gaza, Human Rights and the GAZA FREEDOM MARCH

International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2009 marks the 61st anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The conditions in Gaza today are a mockery of that noble, historic document that strived to assure respect for human rights and human dignity.

This week Radio Intifada will discuss the current situation in Gaza, review what happened to the Goldstone report and how Gazans and international activists are taking up the same kind of non-violent popular action that characterized the first Intifada that erupted 21 years ago on December 8th.

We will be joined by Haidar Eid, activist, political commentator and Associate Professor in the Department of English Literature, Al-Aqsa University, Gaza Strip, Palestine is playing a key role in organizing for the Gaza Freedom March.

Produced and hosted by Sherna Berger Gluck, SWANA (South and West Asia & Northern Africa) Collective
