The Tunisian Intifada, the Arab World and the Search for Palestinian “Statehood”
Radio Intifada is pre-empting our previously planned program marking the 2nd anniversary of the end of Operation Cast Lead to bring you more coverage on the Tunisian Intifada and the growing call for immediate recognition of a Palestinian state.
After an expanded news segment with Hamoud Salhi, we will be going live to Jordan for an extended interview with Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada, first discussing the situation in Jordan where there were earlier food riots. We then turn our attention to the increased support for a declaration of a Palestinian “state,” on the one hand, and the growing One Democratic State movement, on the other.
Produced and hosted by Sherna Berger Gluck and Lucy DerTawitian
Brought to you by SWANA (South and West Asia and Northern Africa Collective)
