Where is the Middle East Going?

Tunisia Now, Is Lebanon Next?

This week’s program will discuss the recent developments in the Middle East. Demonstrations continue in Tunisia and in Lebanon large riots were organized in the city of Tripoli on Tuesday to protest against the nomination of a new Prime Minister backed by Hizbollah. Meanwhile in Egypt, mass protests erupted in Cairo a few days ago, leading many to suggest that the end of the Mubarak regime is nearing. Will that be the case? Our show today will focus on changes that are happening in the Middle East. In our first segment we will examine events in Lebanon and in second we will discuss Tunisia.

Our guests include:

Sami Makdissi, Professor of Political Science at the American University of Beirut.

Adal, a graduate student at California State University Dominguez Hills.

Produced and hosgted by Lucy Der-Tawitian and Hamoud Salhi

with news analysis by Hamoud Salhi
