THE ARAB INTIFADAS
Radio Intifada's Fund Drive Special will continue the discussion of what some are calling a new pan-Arab movement and others are calling Arab Nationalist Revolutions. Which is it? What are its roots in different countries and its prospects for the future.
We will be featuring a news roundup with SWANA Collective member, political scientist Hamoud Salhi and an analysis with political analyst/Middle East specialist Andrea Teti. Among other things, we will be exploring the role that Arabic satellite broadcasting has played in the spread of the uprisings, offering an AlJazeera compilation on Egypt as our premium*.
Andrea Teti, Andrea Teti specializes in the politics of US and EU democracy-promotion efforts in the Middle East. He is a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and Senior Fellow at the European Centre for International Relations. http://www.abdn.ac.uk/pir/staff/details.php?id=a.teti
