Turkish Election and the Current Developments

Following the Turkish elections in June which resulted in a dramatic increase in the number of Kurdish MPs,  late in July Democratic Society Congress (DTK), which is an umbrella organization comprised of various  Kurdish groups, in the city of Diyarbakir declared "democratic autonomy" voicing their frustration at the continued crack down on Kurdish politicians and Kurdish entities, at about the same time clashes between Kurdish rebels and Turkish security forces escalated to new highs. This long running friction with Kurds in Turkey has entered a new Phase, the Peace Initiative which had started about 2 years ago and the Current Developments in the Kurds struggle against the violations of basic human rights, the jailed kurdish MPs  and the rising tensions are putting doubt on the Turkish Prime Ministers claimed victory,   what does the future hold for Turkey, and throughout the region.
Guest: Kani Xulam Kurdish Activist, researcher and director of AKIN, American Kurdish Information Network,
