Palestine’s Freedom Rider’s Fight For Equality
In this week’s show, we will cover the recent “Freedom Rider’s” protest of segregated Israel transport that connects illegal settlement on the West Bank with Occupied East Jerusalem. Can nonviolent tactics and civil disobedience by the Palestine activist's ultimately change status quo? We will also discuss the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against French transportation corporation Veolia which runs segregated transport in occupied Palestine as well as Los Angeles own DASH system.
Guest:
Huwaida Arraf is Palestinian lawyer, human right activist, and co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) which is a Palestinian-led organization that uses non-violent protest in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
