Indian Cinema and Cultural Awareness
Today’s show will feature our annual program of highlighting films from the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. This is a banner year for the Indian Film Festival of LA as it enters its 10th year anniversary and will take place next week from Tuesday, April 10 through Sunday April17th at the ArcLight Theatres on Sunset and Vine in Hollywood. As expected, the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles has a great and diverse line-up this year. Today’s and next week’s show will highlight and give you a taste of some of the 33 feature films, documentaries, and shorts that will be featured in the film festival.
Guest: Stacey Marbrey is an independent filmmaker, IFFLA Festival Programmer and has curated for AFI FEST and Sundance. Ruchika Muchhala is the Director of the documentary film, The Great Indian Marriage Bazaar which is featured in this year’s Indian Film Festival of Los Angles on April 13th.
