All Atheists are Muslim
Today show features the writer and actor of the one-woman autobiographical play titled "All Atheists are Muslim," by Zahra Noorbaksh. The play makes a very clever twist on the east meets west navigation of western social norms and values for an Iranian family living in the United States. “All Atheists are Muslim” was dubbed as a must see performance by the New Yorker Magazine and Time out NY. It is now making its Hollywood Debut at the Complex Theater from June 15th-17th.
Guest: Zahra Noorbaksh is a Muslim Iranian American writer, actor and comic, who’s performed at several theater festivals, including the International New York Fringe Festival – for which her comedic, autobiographical one-woman show, “All Atheists are Muslim”. Zahra also contributed to the ground breaking anthology, Love Inshallah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women, for which her piece “The Birds The Bees – and My Hole” received critical acclaim from the NY Times.
