Where do the candidates stand?The Middle East is of strategic importance to American citizens, our choices this November will not only effect our own country but it the rest of the world.
For the next two weeks Radio Intifada will explore the two candidates stance on key countries in the region to gain a better understanding of where our future lies.
This week we will focus on Pakistan, Central Asia and Syria. Next week we will discuss Israel/Palestine,Iran and immigration issues affecting the Arab, Muslim and South Asian world and communities in the US.Special Guests:
TAYYAB MAHMUD teaches Civil & Economic Rights, Contracts, Comparative Law, International Law, Jurisprudence and Legal History. Professor Mahmud has published extensively in the areas of comparative constitutional law, human rights, legal history and legal theory. His primary research areas are critical legal theory and colonial legal regimes and their legacy. His current research is focused on extra-constitutional usurpation and exercise of power in post-colonial states.
ZAMAN S. STANIZAI is a political scienctist who teaches Islamic traditions and Imaginal perspectives at Pacifica Graduate Institue.
