PACIFICA PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE

AIR-DATE 7/26/08, 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. (Original Airdate:  7/26/08)

HOST:  Donna Walker

Today’s feature is Juli Crockett’s  “History of Water,” a fascinating, frenetic take on that element essential to our very survival – Water.  This rollicking rollercoaster ride explores how water comprises us physiologically, and affects us biologically, emotionally, and linguistically.  There will be music, sketch comedy, pathos, bathos, and, with apologies to Mr. Wizard, a bit of science thrown in. “History of Water” was written and directed by Julie Crockett and features: Shaughn Buchholz, Andrea LeBlanc, Lisa Dee, Patrick Ian Moore and Juli Crockett.  Live musical accompaniment is by Henry Bermudez, Keith Lubow, and David Hurlin of The Evangenitals.  Recorded song by Timothy Sellers of Artichoke.  It was first performed at the 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles as part of their “Explorer” series. For further info on Julie Crockett, “History of Water”, and the Evangenitals, go to myspace.com/history of water and www.evangenitals.com.
