Volunteers Needed
It's time for the 2nd Los Angeles Bicycle/Pedestrian Count.  In 2009 we counted over 14,000 cyclists at 50 intersections throughout the City of LA.  Next month we need volunteers to hit the streets and collect a second round of vital data.   A morning and afternoon count will take place on Tuesday Sept. 13, and a midday count on Saturday Sept. 17.  There are 50 intersections across the city to choose from.  Please pick a date, time and location that works for you (and feel free to volunteer more than once : )  The collected data will be used to plan and advocate for better bike/ped infrastructure in our city.
Be sure to sign up for an orientation session the weekend before if you are available.  We will hold one on the Westside, one in the Valley and one Downtown.  Please spread the word to friends and family.  The more volunteers we have, the more data we can collect and the more improvements we can make.  Here is the link to sign up: http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/162345634934070077 and here is a map of the locations.

Thank you so much!
