The New Ottomans: Turkey's Current Developments

 

 

As the Turkish involvement and influence in the Syrian conflict increases and the Turkish government ruled by AK Party currently envisioning a new the Ottoman's and trying to assert itself as a regional power with assistance from its allies, while clashes between Kurdish rebels and Turkish security forces is escalating to new highs. This long running friction with Kurds in Turkey has entered a new Phase. An organization called the International Crisis Group has putout a new report called "The PKK and a Kurdish Settlement" which will be discussed in the program.
