Victoria Bomberry (Muscogee Creek Nation),Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of California, RIverside, (http://www.ethnicstudies.ucr.edu/people/faculty/bomberry/index.html) Victoria, currently in La Paz, Bolivia, joins us for this segment to discuss the recent public abuse of indigenous peoples -in front of students- in Sucre, the paradigm shift as evidenced by indigenous President Morales and first nations peoples across Latin America, the impact of indigenous women in the popular struggles in Bolivia and the specificity of their oppression as well as the unrelenting racism and white supremacy.
