Rebecca Robles (Acjachemen Nation) , a grass-roots organizer and activist ( www.savepanhe.org and www.savesanonofre) joins us for this segment of the show to provide listeners with an update on the sacred site Panhe, the San Juanquin Toll Road Project in Orange County, CA and how developers and other proponents are attempting to undermine and overturn the recent California Coastal Commission ruling prohibiting the destruction of the sacred site, Panhe (San Clemente, CA). The United States Department of Commerce current rational for developing the toll road through Panhe is that it is a matter of national security. Rebecca also discusses the forthcoming "!2th Annual Ancestor Walk" being held this Saturday, October 4th, 2008 from 7:30am to 6pm. The Ancestor's Walk starts at Panhe (San Mateo Campgrounds), proceeds to Putiidhem, Kenyaanga, Bolsa Chica, Motuucheynga, and concludes at Puvungna (California State University, Long Beach) circa 4pm, carpooling is encouraged, and pot-luck prepared dishes are appreciated.
