Dr. Irene Vernon ((Mescalero Apache and Yaqui Nations) http://www.colostate.edu/dept/CASAE/facBio/vernon.html joins us for a health care special to discuss Indian Health Services (IHS) throughout "Indian Country", federal budgetary constraints and its impact on IHS service within "Indian Country" and urban environments, and the continued institutional and colonial, assimilationist federal 'policies' leading to removing underfunded IHS agencies within urban environments with large indigenous populations.
