"Exiled Ancestors, Institutionalized Racism and Eradicating UC Berkeley's NAGPRA Unit"
Larri Fredericks (Alaska Athabascan), former Native American Graves Protection & Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) interim coordinator at the University of California, Berkeley and Corbin Collins, Spokesperson for Native American NAGPRA Coalition (http://nagpra-ucb-faq.blogspot.com) join us for a one-hour special to discuss and update us on how the University of California, Berkeley's (UCB) Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology engaged in the continued exiling of the second largest collection of indigenous ancestors and sacred objects in the United States, institutionalized racism by eradicating its NAGPRA Unit, and the response by indigenous peoples and their respective First Nations.
