Dr. Richard Stahler-Sholk, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Eastern Michigan University and author of numerous publications including: "Latin American Social Movements in the 21st Century: Resistance, Power and Democracy." From Chiapas, Mexico, Dr. Stahler-Sholk provides us an immediate account of the militarization along the borders of the indigenous communities in Chiapas, the threat of military invasion by the Mexican army and what indigenous peoples are doing to defend themselves.
