“Where Are We Now?: Implementing the U.N.D.R.I.P. within Nations”

Today on American Indian Airwaves , we spend the entire hour with Tonya Gonnella Frichner (Onondaga Nation, Snipe Clan), former North American representative of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/unpfii/), on not only where Indigenous Nations are implementing, but also on how to implement, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/unpfii/en/drip.html). Tonya Gonnella Frichner recently spoke in the Chumash Nation on January 7th, 2011 at the Unitarian Church (Santa Barbara, California) and sound from today's show is entirely from the 01/07/11 presentation.
