http://pactribe.tripod.com/, community activist and attorney, joins us for this featured news segment to the discuss how hurricane Gustav devastated, heavily damaged and nearly destroyed certain First Nations with the southern Louisiana area, the potential impact of hurricane Ike, the "response" by state, federal agencies, community organizations and what people can do to assist those severely impacted by hurricane Gustav and, soon to be, hurricane Ike.

Director of Haramokngna American Indian Cultural Center (www.haramokngna.org) joins us for this segment of the show to discuss the forthcoming World Festival of Sacred Music (www.festivalofsacredmusic.org) happening this Sept. 13th, 2008 through Sept. 28th, 2008 in Los Angeles Country, CA. Kats discusses events held at Haramokngna, as part of the festival, and the closing ceremony being held on 9/28/08, at the Santa Monica beach, whereby the Tongva's Nations maritime band, the Ti'at Society will close the festival with crica an expected 3,000 to 4,000 participants. All this and more.

(Pawnee/Seminole Nations) and guest join us for this final segment of the show to discuss The 2nd International Indigenous Hip Hop Music Festival (www.iihhg.com) being held this September 14th, 2008 at the Ford Amphitheater. Quese & Co. discuss this all-ages show, the line-up comprised of indigenous artist from First Nations throughout the western hemisphere, cultural youth workshops, plus a lot more. The event is also being hosted by KPFK's Fidel Rodriguez (Chumash Nation) of Divine Forces Radio (http://www.divineforces.org)
