Obie Award-winning actor, writer, and director Roger Guenveur Smith on Rodney King. Smith returns to the stage with a new work inspired by the late Rodney King. King was viciously beaten by four LAPD cops in 1991, a beating which was captured on videotape and seen around the world. When the cops were acquitted in April, 1992, the result was the biggest rebellion in US history.
