Today we interview Amira Hass, winner of the International Women's Media Foundation Lifetime achievement award for 2009. She will be honored next Wednesday.
When she was asked nearly 20 years ago to cover Gaza, she chose not to commute from her home in Tel Aviv, but to move to Gaza in order to experience firsthand life in The Occupied Territories.
She will also be speaking at UCLA twice next week. UCLA Center for Jewish Studies. and The Center for Near Eastern Studies.
