Los Angeles schools are out but decisions are being made that will affect kids' school year beginning, yes, in August! The new school calendar is just one of many decisions that are affecting 700,000 kids and their families this summer.

We focus on the LAUSD school budget and the Superior Court ruling this week concerning teacher evaluations. We will be joined by L.A. Times reporters Teresa Watanabe and Stephen Ceasar.
