Wednesday, September 10, at 7:00 PM (PST) join hosts Christene Kings and Melissa Chiprin for another fiercely independent edition of Feminist Magazine

Tonight we will be dialoguing with Leila Steinberg and Michelle Centeno committee members and facilitators of educational presentations at the One Nation Hip Hop Summit.  The summits mission is to Bring Hip Hop back to the people which was derived from various discussions with youth who concluded that Hip Hop was the best instrument to create social change by engaging diverse youth in a movement for peace, unity and social justice.

Nest, a secret shelter for human trafficking victims is in danger of being shut down because the state has not approved its budget. Joining us to discuss this travesty is Rocio Watson, the shelter's executive director.

And later, Odalys (Oh-Da-Leez) Nanin writer and lead actress will talk about her upcoming theatre piece  The Lieutenant Nun a comedy drama opening this week at the Macha Theatre (Mujeres Advancing Culture, History & Art) - based on the true memoirs of Catalina De Erauso - a 17th-century nun who fought in the Spanish army disguised as a man, a bold young girl who defied her societys gender roles and became a hero of folklore.
