Local bands will compete to win the opening showcase slot for the 3rd Long Beach Funk Fest which takes place Aug 20^th on the streets in downtown Long Beach. Each competing band must bring a minimum of 25 fans to the show. Bands are judged based on musicianship, songs, vibe, crowd response, and of course, their funkiness.
