LA Theatre Works, Sunday, March 22 a 10:00 pm, Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece "Hedda Gabler" starring Jocelyn Towne and J.D. Cullum

Considered by most to be the "father of modern drama," Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen remains one the world's foremost playwrights.  His theatrical output includes the most performed pieces in history, after Shakespeare, including "A Doll House," "An Enemy of the People, "Brand," "Peer Gynt," "The Master Builder," "Ghosts," and "The Wild Duck," among others.  An innovator of "dramatic realism,"  and early "feminist," he is also known for creating some of the most iconic showcase roles for women, particularly with "Nora" in "A Doll House," "Hedda" in "Hedda Gabler."

Recorded before a live audience at the UCLA James Bridges Theater in June 2019.
