LA Theatre Works, Sunday, June 14 at 10:00 pm, Hugh Whitmore's "Breaking the Code" starring Simon Templeman

Following a run at the West End, starring Derek Jacobi as Alan Turing, the play was nominated for three Tony Awards and was subsequently adapted to a BBC television film and later an Oscar-nominated historical thriller, "The Imitation Code" starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

Recorded before a live audience at the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles in July, 2003.

Breaking the Code is part of L.A. Theatre Works’ Relativity Series featuring science-themed plays. Lead funding for the Relativity Series is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to enhance public understanding of science and technology in the modern world.
