Playwright Chiara Atik's new play “BUMP” is intertwines three stories in a series of vignettes, about pregnancy and childbirth. A car mechanic on the verge of becoming a grandfather, a community of expectant mothers on a pregnancy message board, and a pregnant woman in colonial New England each question the mechanics of childbirth
This play is part of L.A. Theatre Works Relativity Series of science-themed plays. Lead funding for the Relativity Series is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, bridging science and the arts in the modern world.
