LA Theatre Works, Sunday, October 19 at 10:00 pm, Beth Henley's "Crimes of the Heart" Starring Glenne Headley, Sondra Locke, and Arye Gross

Beth Henley  play Crimes of the Heart won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the 1981 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best American Play, and a nomination for a Tony Award. Her screenplay for Crimes of the Heart was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, Beth Henley's "Crimes of the Heart" also won he 1981 NY Drama Critics' Circle Award, was nominated for the Tony Award and later became an Oscar-nominated screenplay, the film adaptation starring Dianne Keaton, Sissy Spacek, and Jessica Lange, directed by Bruce Beresford.

LA Theatre Works' presentation was recorded at the KCRW Studios, Santa Monica in January 1996.
